A year characterised by digitalisation, security and user-friendliness
2025 was a year of further development and innovation for SaaS.de. As a platform for digital solutions in the field of time recording and personnel management for SMEs, we focussed on the needs of our customers - from small and medium-sized enterprises to cities, municipalities and districts. Below, we take a look at the key topics and new features that have shaped 2025.
The most important topics from 2025

Digitalisation of the world of work
Digital time recording has been at the centre of many discussions. With the increasing flexibilisation of the world of work - particularly through working from home and hybrid working models - solutions for efficient, error-free and GDPR-compliant time recording have become increasingly relevant. Our blog articles on the benefits of digital time recording and the most common errors show how companies can save time and resources through automation. The shift planning tool, which enables transparent and fair working time organisation, was also in demand.
Data sovereignty and IT security
In view of increasing cyber risks, the topic of data sovereignty has moved centre stage. Our article on data sovereignty in cloud software emphasises the importance of solutions hosted in Germany or Europe - a key aspect for our customers who rely on the "Software made in Germany" and "Software hosted in Germany" seals of approval. Special attention was also paid to security in the home office, for example by raising awareness of children as a cyber risk.

Labour law and public holiday regulations
With articles such as "How do you plan holidays?" and "Additional public holidays in SaaS.de 2025", we support companies in complying with legal requirements. The flexibilisation of holiday planning and the correct implementation of public holiday regulations is an integral part of SaaS.de.
Employer branding and securing skilled labour
Attracting and retaining talent remained a challenge. Our applicant portal was further developed to support companies in digital recruitment. We also showed how employer branding can also be successfully implemented in small companies. We also provided tips on how to deal with new trainees.
Sustainability and social commitment
We are committed to sustainability and local social projects with initiatives such as the digital Kehrwoche 2025 and the Klimawin BW project.
