The lump-sum break is used in most cases when the employees do not necessarily have to book the break themselves and the period from when to when the break takes place is irrelevant. The stored break duration is simply deducted from the actual time "as a lump sum" every day.

Previously, it was only possible to store a flat-rate break of e.g. 30 minutes from a working time of 6 hours. We have now added a second break option. Thus, it is now possible to define in the flat-rate break regulation after how many hours of working time the duration of the first flat-rate break is deducted and after how many hours of working time the second flat-rate break is to take effect.

Furthermore, work interruptions (leaving and then coming back e.g. 5 minutes later) that are shorter than the minimum length of the rest breaks can be ignored in the calculation.
