2025: New regulations for mini-jobs
On 1 January 2025, new regulations for mini-jobs will once again come into force in Germany, affecting both employers and employees.
One of the most important changes is the increase in the earnings limit for mini-jobs from the previous 538 euros per month. From 1 January 2025, mini-jobbers will be allowed to earn up to 556 euros per month without having to pay social security contributions.
It should be noted that the statutory minimum wage will also increase. This will rise from 12.41 euros per hour in 2024 to 12.82 euros per hour in 2025.
Employers must also provide proof of working hours for mini-jobbers in order to comply with the minimum wage and mini-job limits and to be able to prove this.
At SaaS.de, the statutory minimum wage of 12.82 euros per hour as well as the mini-job limit of 556 euros per month from 1 January 2025 are again directly adjusted and stored in the software. If the number of hours is exceeded, the programme automatically indicates compliance with the limits and the statutory minimum wage.
In the programme, under Profile, you can also define which employees are subject to the statutory minimum wage and which payments and benefits do not count towards the minimum wage.
