According to a ruling by the European Court of Justice, a time sheet has been mandatory in Germany since 14 May 2019. A draft law from the Federal Ministry of Labour has been available since April.

Now that it is known that working hours must be recorded in full, the question arises as to when the actual working hours begin.

The start of working time can be determined, for example, when the PC is started up in the office. Putting on work clothes and logging into a PC programme also count as working time.

This is referred to as set-up time. The set-up time includes the necessary steps to be able to start work.

SaaS.de has already taken this issue into account and offers the option of activating flat-rate set-up times in the form of credit notes. When the employee boots up the PC and logs on to SaaS.de, they receive this flat-rate set-up time as a credit to their time booking.
