In today's blog post, we introduce you to founder and CEO Heiko Roth, who founded EGOTEC AG over 20 years ago. With his technical expertise, he is one of the most important pillars for the technical development of our products. He also regularly trains our trainees and developers and ensures that programming runs smoothly within the company.
Why did you found EGOTEC AG?
I started programming at an early age and started selling these software solutions when I was 13 or 14.
Then, towards the end of my A-levels and the beginning of my studies, we had to go to the tax office and register for taxes.
A short time later, I founded EGOTEC GmbH together with a mate, which was transformed into EGOTEC AG in 2021.
What does your day-to-day life look like?
Yes, I'm kind of responsible for everything. Ultimately, I make sure that the projects work and try to pass on my knowledge to my employees. Among other things, I also train trainees and developers so that I can ensure smooth implementation.
I also work with my business partner to shape the long-term growth of the company.
What is your vision for EGOTEC AG?
My vision for EGOTEC AG is to develop reliable and efficient software that the world needs and loves.
What do you do in your spare time?
Firstly, I have three children, but I also do a lot of music to balance things out.
I'm a conductor and enjoy playing the clarinet and saxophone and I'm in various bands and big bands.
