Many companies grant their employees half additional public holidays on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. However, as these days are not public holidays in Germany, they must also be recorded in the public holiday calendar.

The following steps will show you how easy it is to do this with SaaS.de:

  1. Switch to the admin area via the module switcher at the top left and select "Public holiday calendar" from the menu on the left.

  2. Open

the settings of the public holiday calendar used by clicking on the pencil icon on the right.

  3. Switch

to the "Additional public holidays" tab and click on the plus symbol.

  4. Enter

the date (e.g. 24 December 2024) and the name of the public holiday. Decide whether the public holiday is a half or full day. For a whole day, do not tick the box. Tick the appropriate box for a half day. If you want the holiday to be recurring every year, activate this option as well.

  5. Repeat

this step by clicking on the plus symbol again, e.g. to add New Year's Eve in the same way.

  6. Save

your changes by clicking on the disc symbol at the top left.

If you now switch to holiday management, the added public holidays will appear directly in the calendar.

The SaaS.de support team will be happy to help you if you have any questions.
