Every year, we welcome new apprentices to the company – make sure you set up the profile for apprentices correctly!

Key points at a glance:

Easily set up apprentices before their training begins

With SaaS.de, you can easily create your apprentices in the system in advance and activate them when their training begins.
You can assign trainees to the relevant departments, line managers and projects, and flexibly set their permissions and roles.

School holidays, vocational college days and other absences

Thanks to the intuitive and flexible absence management system, you can set when, for example, vocational college days, work placements or other absences take place. School holidays can be easily viewed and recorded.

Recording attendance, probationary periods and other reminders

Working hours, as well as rules for overtime and negative hours, can be recorded very easily for apprentices. With SaaS.de, you also have the option of setting reminders for events such as the end of the probationary period, the start of the apprenticeship and the end of the apprenticeship.

Extra tips to help your apprentices get off to the best possible start:

  • Put together a welcome pack.
This should contain all the important documents and rules of your company, as well as the contact details and names of the trainers responsible for your apprentices. A roadmap or onboarding programme for the first few weeks is also helpful.
Of course, all apprentices will also appreciate a few small tokens of appreciation from your company.
  • Set up their workstation in advance so that everything is ready to go .
A well-organised workstation and a smooth process during the first few weeks not only build trust but also enhance your company’s image.
  • Team-building and feedback
Ensure that apprentices are well integrated into your company right from the start. In addition, early and regular feedback meetings with the apprentices are recommended.
