Tips & tricks: Hiring for severe disabilities: Holidays

All relevant information about the employee can be found in the personnel file in SaaS.de.
Here you can activate the "Severe disability" field - see image below.
At this point, however, this has no influence on the leave days that must be granted for severe disabilities under German law in accordance with § 208 SGB IX. You can also add further or other days of leave according to this procedure, depending on the country.

The tick in the "Severe disability" field is for information purposes only. A note will then appear stating that this change must also be created in the profile. To do this, create a separate profile in which you can set the holiday entitlement *.

*Thesettings can only be made by employees with the necessary personnel rights.

To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Open SaaS.de and go to "Profiles" in the menu bar under the "Personnel" section.
  2. Now you can create a new profile by clicking on the orange plus button at the top.
  3. Here you can now set the entitlement* under the "Holiday management" tab. You can make all other changes as you wish.
  4. Don't forget to save so that the system can note the change. You can then assign the profile to the employee.

*Theholiday entitlement in the picture is made up of 30 days from the employment contract and 5 additional statutory days due to severe disability.

Alternatively:

  1. Click on an existing profile **.
  2. Copy the profile by opening the profile and clicking on the copy symbol at the top.
  3. Now you only have to adjust the holiday entitlement.

**Make surethat the settings outside the holiday administration correspond to the requirements of the employee concerned.
